Also known as "Botox", botulinum toxin is used to temporarily reduce or eliminate wrinkles and fine lines in the face. 

Botulinum toxins work by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter at the neuromuscular junction, which causes muscle paralysis. The effects of botulinum toxin treatments can last from three to twelve months.
