REVOLAX SUB-Q

REVOLAX Sub-Q is a biodegradable dermal filler primarily composed of high-purity hyaluronic acid (HA) and, in some formulations, lidocaine. It is designed for volumetric treatments and is particularly effective for addressing deep wrinkles, facial contouring, and augmentation of areas such as the cheeks, chin, nose, and jawline. The product comes in a pre-filled syringe containing 1.1 ml of the filler along with two sterilized 25G needles.

Composition and Properties

The active substance in REVOLAX Sub-Q is hyaluronic acid at a concentration of 24 mg/ml. This formulation utilizes patented cross-linking technology that enhances the gel’s viscosity and longevity while ensuring it does not migrate from the injection site. The presence of lidocaine (0.3%) in some variants aims to provide pain relief during the injection process.

Indications for Use

REVOLAX Sub-Q is indicated for:

• Treatment of deep-sized to extremely severe wrinkles, including nasolabial folds.
• Augmentation of facial features such as cheeks, chin, nose, and jawline.
• Correction of volume loss and morphological asymmetry in the face.

The results from using REVOLAX Sub-Q can last between 8 to 12 months depending on individual factors such as skin type and treatment area.

Administration Protocol

The product should be injected into the deep subcutaneous layer using sterile techniques. It is crucial to avoid injecting into blood vessels or areas around the eyes (eyelids or eye circles). Patients are advised against using REVOLAX Sub-Q if they have certain contraindications such as hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or if they are pregnant or nursing.

Contraindications and Precautions

• Injection into areas with inflammatory or infectious skin conditions.
• Use in patients with coagulation disorders or those who have recently used anticoagulants.
• Avoidance in individuals under 18 years old or those prone to hypertrophic scars.

Patients should refrain from taking aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs one week prior to treatment and avoid makeup for 12 hours post-injection. Additionally, exposure to extreme temperatures or sunlight should be minimized for two weeks following treatment.

Aftercare Recommendations

Post-treatment care includes avoiding strenuous exercise and excessive sun exposure. Patients should also be cautious about applying makeup immediately after the procedure to prevent irritation at the injection sites.
